the story
Lara Croft is on a quest to save Pandoras box.

Intrepid British archaeologist Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) has made perhaps the most important archaeological discovery in history: an orb that leads to the mythical Pandora's Box. Unfortunately, the orb falls into the hands of Jonathan Reiss (Ciarán Hinds), an evil scientist who deals in killer viruses and hopes to sell the secrets of the box as the ultimate weapon. Recruited by British Intelligence to get the orb back from Reiss, Lara recruits Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler), a British marine turned mercenary--and her former love interest--to help. The two embark on an adventure that spans continents in an attempt to regain the orb. Lara is a walking advertisement for "girl power." She's brilliant, athletic, courageous, and saucy. She flips jet skis, parachutes to safety from tall buildings, dives, rides horses--nothing seems beyond her. Best of all, Lara is one of the good ones; she'll do whatever she must to keep the world safe.

about the film

Angelina Jolie plays for the second time Lara Croft, the video-game character become very famous with game’s popularity. The success of the first film was so good that the production didn’t wait to sign for a sequel, hoping to do at least as good as the first one which has collect over 47 Mil $ only during the first week-end ( the highest score ever made by a female star) and total up 300 Mil $ only in his country ! With that kind of numbers, the studios couldn’t stop there and not make profitable to the full a good working formula. Because it must be known that without those huge productions, that one can appreciate or not, most of the other movies (considered at risk by the studios) couldn’t even exist.

The Cradle of Third-rate Films
Except for one or two impressive stunts already seen a hundred times, the movie is boring from beginning to end. Fortunately the film isn’t too long. The events have clear lack of structure one another and haven’t really a reason to be considering the story in general, which gives us the feeling to assist to a chain of action scenes put end to end. To summarize, for a bad movie pretending itself entertaining, this one is one of the leaders in his category. So if you want to have fun, you’d better rent the last James Bond, because this sequel is bad copy of the genre.

Already seen a thousand time ! Please give us something else !
Film without any originality and particularly weak, view-point of the actors’ playing, dialogs and scenario. To avoid; unless you are a fan of the character and you accept that a two hours lasting film spend one hour and a half showing you the face of Angelina Jolie close-up, everything playing in an indigestible mixture of real story and fantasy tells, disturbingly stupid, when for example you learn that the top of the Kilimanjaro is a vast plain infested by doubtful mythological creatures, defending the Pandora Box allowing a wretched scientist to realise his diabolic plans, etc.etc.etc.
In short, its not what we expect from cinema.
